Carly (they / she) grew up in a small town loving books, dramatic dance routines and make-believe games where they played every character. After a BA in Modern Drama at Brunel University, they figured out how they could play make-believe every day.

Since graduating the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in 2009, Carly has been working professionally as an actor, presenter and voiceover artist.

Their passion is for devised performance and new writing, and they have also spent some time in the performance art world making their own work and appearing in the work of artists such as Marisa Carnesky and Ragnar Kjartansson.

Carly is an Associate Artist of The Play's The Thing Theatre Company and was one of the founding members of the Roundhouse Theatre Company in 2008.

They are also a published writer, director and experienced drama facilitator and teacher.
